2012

2012 is finally here.

New year, new beginnings, a fresh start. The last 3 months of a year is usually a blur of frustration, irritation and anticipation for the new year. When everything will be new and shiny. All our problems will disappear overnight…or so we hope. Well, the new year is here, but the same problems are still with us.

So now what?

Well, you can either continue being depressed, irritated and frustrated or you can try and do something about it. It took me (let me check the date…) 11 days to come to this conclusion!
I’ve decided to instead be positive, motivated and challenged. I really believe in ‘mind over matter’ and that you have a choice to make things better. I’m excited to be working again. I’m excited that this will be a GREAT year. A year of new things. (Oh dear, I’m sounding like Oprah!)

So here is my list of resolutions for the Fabulous New Year:

1. Learn a new skill
2. See more shows/concerts
3. Start bootcamp again (when it’s cooler of course;)
4. Stop biting my nails (this will be my biggest challenge!)
5. Stop buying things I don’t need (or just return it the next day)
6. Drink less coffee (this one I’ll break first)

I hope everyone reading this will also be motivated and ready for the new year by now. Facebook is filled with photos and comments of kiddies starting new schools or people starting new jobs. It’s exciting! It’s scary! It’s LIFE.

Good luck to everyone and may this year be the best ever. If not, wait for 2013:)

Nice …

“Walk with the dreamers, the believers, the courageous,
the cheerful, the planners, the doers, the successful people
with their heads in the clouds and their feet on the ground.
Let their spirit ignite a fire within you to leave this world
better than when you found it…”

Time for a new site!

A mechanic’s car is always broken. Well in my case it’s: ‘the designer’s website/business card/logo/advertisement is never done’!

The truth is that my client’s work always comes first (I need to make a living, right?) so that’s the reason why my own work is never finished. I’ve got folders and folders of semi-finished websites that will never see the light of day…or a computer screen.

I promised myself that October will be the month of focusing on getting my website and business cards out. It’s 24 October today and my deadline is getting VERY tight…

My next step is to get a quote for my business cards from Hot Ink and to get the design 100% done.

But first some tea and sleep!
